2022 Reading Challenge (+ What I Read in Q4)

My reading goal for 2022 was to read 50 books in a year.

I did not meet that goal. I ended the year just missing the mark with 49 books. LOLZ.

Honestly, I had little to no interest in reading for most of November - probably due to a mix of nesting and holiday jazz - and then the whole “having a baby a few weeks early and commuting to the hospital every day for 2 weeks” also put a damper on my reading goals. Not that I’m making excuses, that’s just the reality of the situation.

There’s always next year. I am really proud of how close I came to meeting the goal and I know that I can do it this year. I made a lot of progress from the previous year, and I’m really happy about the reading habits I’ve created and will continue.

Anyway, here is the shorter list of books I’ve read this quarter to round out the year.

  1. Big Little Lies - Lianne Moriarty - 4.5/5

  2. The Lightning Rod - Brad Meltzer - 5/5

  3. The Rosie Project - Graeme Simsion - 4.7/5 - Read by the Australian author, so bonus points for a fun accent!

  4. Kingsbane - Claire Legrand - 3/5

  5. The Last Thing He Told Me - Laura Dave - 5/5

  6. The Christmas Bookshop - Jenny Colgan - 3.5/5

  7. Malibu Rising - Taylor Jenkins Reid - 5/5

  8. Christmas Stories - Max Lucado - 5/5

  9. The Christmas Swap - Melody Carlson - 2/5

  10. Enjoy The View - Sarah Morgenthaler - 4.5/5

  11. Because Of Bethlehem - Max Lucado - 4.2/5

  12. Hope Has Come - The Daily Grace Co. - 4.5/5 - This is a devotional/Advent Bible study
