March Highlights

We made it.

It’s finally the end of March. I won’t lie, for a minute there, I thought I wouldn’t make it.

Although it was a long and largely boring month, I actually have more than 3 things to talk about so would-you-look-at-that? Here we go.

New Job.

I started a new job this month, and friends, it is a dream. I’m still in marketing (which I love), for a company that I love, with a team that I love, and I get to work from home 80% of the time. It is truly such a gift and I have enjoyed settling into this new role and lifestyle.

The Wielder.

I mentioned this book last week, but did you catch my hint? I wrote about a book that I had read TWO days after it was released. Guess how?

I EDITED IT.

My friend from college, Julie, asked me if I would look over her book before she published it, and first off, I was HONORED. Secondly, it was one of the most fun projects I’ve done in a long time. There were several instances that I read ahead, needing to know what happened next. Then I had to tell myself “Ok, Bekah, be cool, you have a job to do here. FOCUS.” If you’re interested in picking up a copy, use this link.

Bridgerton.

Season 2 just dropped, and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a frigid weekend than having Julie Andrews narrate some hot gossip on this season’s debutantes. It is 100% my guilty pleasure - the costumes, the romance, the drama - it’s the perfect dose of springtime when the temps here haven’t quite gotten the memo.

Running.

We’ve had a few nice days this month that were not 25 degrees and horrible, so I took the opportunity to dust off my running shoes and hit the pavement - literally. You may remember a previous post, Still A Good Day, about a very painful and hilarious event, that I unwillingly repeated this month. Yes, you need to go back and read it.

ANYWAY, I started running again and it has been delightful (for the most part). I truly do love running, especially in nice weather, and I’m so happy to be exercising outside again.

BONUS: for KING & COUNTRY released a new album this month, called What Are We Waiting For? and it slaps. Check it out.
