My October Bucket List

It’s the first post of October!

For those of you on the newer side, October is hands-down, my favorite month ever.

It just wouldn’t be appropriate if I didn’t start the month with a very on-brand fall post. In the past, I have posted a LOT of fall content. It’s literally my favorite thing in the whole world, so yes, I talk about it a lot. It makes me happy, okay?

If you’re in the mood for more where this post came from, I’ll link some additional posts at the end.

Almost every year, I make a fall bucket list. Or a Happiness list. Whatever you want to call it. I started it with my very first blog post EVER - you can check it out here, if you want. It’s a list of seasonally-themed things that I want to do this fall that just make me happy. Usually, each year’s list is pretty similar. Sometimes I add new things or take things off that no longer bring the joy they used to. There are some staples that will never, ever leave the list.

This year looks a little different. Which is a good thing. I mean, life would get really boring if every year looked exactly the same as the year prior. I’m in a different season, and so my fall bucket list looks a little bit different. In the past, I would make a long list of a bunch of things I liked and maybe get to half of them. Let’s be honest, with a full time job and various commitments and activities, it’s hard to get to a list of almost 30 things. It’s much more satisfying to pick and choose the most meaningful things.

I made this years list specifically for the month of October. It’s a little shorter, a little bit simpler and for me, a little bit sweeter. I’m focusing on the things that bring the most joy and make me feel the most like myself. In this particular season, anything that makes me feel like myself is a huge win. It’s my last fall without a little one attached to my hip, and I want to spend it doing my absolute favorite things, even if they’re small. It really is the little things that mean the most.

  10. Host Halloween
