April Highlights
It’s almost the end of April, which means in less than a week, I will officially enter baby month!
Still feels weird, but trying to embrace it here.
That said, April has been such a fun and lovely month. The weather has been lovely, the flowers are blooming and I’ve very much enjoyed getting ready for Norah to arrive. Here are the highlights!
baby sprinkle(s).
My mom and sister threw me the most lovely and intimate sprinkle at the end of March. As I already have all the big necessities from Will, it was nice to celebrate a little girl with lots of clothes and accessories (of which I know absolutely nothing, of course). I got to visit with some family and close friends and it was just beautiful. My team at work also threw a little lunch sprinkle this month and I am just feeling so loved as I get ready to become a mom of two!
cherry blossoms.
One of my favorite things about our property is that we have a huge cherry blossom tree in the middle of our backyard. Just a few days ago, it blossomed into full bloom and it is one of the the prettiest trees in the world, if you ask me.
evenings on the porch.
Over the last month, Elliot and I have spent a few evenings either on our front porch watching the sunset, or on our back deck. The weather has been so perfect in the evenings, and I personally love outdoor quality time. Now that spring is here for good, I’m trying to spend as much time as I can enjoying our little piece of heaven.
turkey day.
Almost every year since 2020, Elliot has cooked a turkey in March. It all started back when COVID first hit - we returned home from a 2 week vacation the evening before everything shut down, and both the grocery stores and our fridge were empty. We had a turkey is the freezer from when they were on sale the previous November, so we thawed that baby out and had ourselves a spring feast. We finally celebrated our Turkey Day this month and its still one of my favorite silly traditions we’ve started.
I’m a strong believer in fresh air, prayer and a good cup of coffee. Let’s be friends!
