2023 Winter Bucket List

A couple weeks ago, shortly after it went from brisk to COLD, I decided I wasn’t going to hate on winter this year.

I chose to enjoy this winter.

Winter is cold and it can get miserable and it’s dark. It’s easy to be sad when it’s dark and cold all the time. Trust me, those things are not lost on me.

But if I choose to overlook those things for a moment, I think I really like winter.

I mean, it’s peak cozy season, and many of my favorite things are best enjoyed in a blanket in front of a fire with a candle burning. It’s also the best time of year for baking.

Aside from temperature-related reasons, it’s also a quiet, restful time of year. After the hustle and bustle of the holidays, January through March is a quiet time to recharge and take it a bit slower. I like to use this time to catch up on things around the house. I mean, I’m not itching to go outside when it’s 30 degrees, that’s for sure.

It recently occurred to me that I’ve done a Summer Bucket List and a Fall Bucket List (well, duh), so I’m committing to this. Every season gets a bucket list, every year. You’re welcome.
