November Highlights

I just have to say, it's very weird to be writing the "wrapup" blog post, and Thanksgiving isn't over yet. It just seems incomplete. How can one fully wrap up a month when the main holiday isn't over yet? Bizarre.

Yet, here I am, doing the thing.

I also just want to share that even in the most stressful of days, there are perfect moments. Like this one, for instance.

I have had a not-so-good day today. It's been busy, long, and frustrating at times. However, at this moment I am showered and in my comfy sweats, in a cozy spot on my couch with my Christmas tree lit and twinkling. It's quiet, warm, peaceful, and all is well. It really doesn't get better than this. Granted, I'll probably only spend half an hour or so in this moment, but hey, I'll take it.

I guess I'll get started on sharing this beautiful month, now.

Hamilton

I have to begin with this one. I mean, it's Hamilton.

For my birthday, Elliot got us tickets to see Hamilton in Philadelphia at the Kimmel Center. My family joined us, and it was INCREDIBLE. Seriously. It blew us all away. I literally looked around, looked around at how lucky we are to be alive right now....

That's all I have to say.

One more thing!!

ok, now I'm done.

Apple Cinnamon Rolls

About a month or so ago, I posted some recipes that I had tried/wanted to try. You can read the whole post here. One of the "want to try's" were apple cinnamon rolls. Well, I tried them - and they're a hit. They're pretty simple, so if you're a breakfast person, whip up a batch of these and let me know what you think!

Hygge Thanksgiving

This year, my family celebrated Thanksgiving early, and we decided to put a spin on it. Since apparently all I do is talk about hygge, the fam-bam thought it would be fun to do Thanksgiving hygge-style. We spent the whole day together, starting with a late breakfast and coffee (insert apple cinnamon rolls). Afterwards, we took turns making side dishes together, hung out, and I got to go for a run before dinner. It was relaxing and chill. Highly recommend.

Nora Lee's

Elliot and I had a cute little impromptu date night earlier this month - little photoshoot in Old New Castle and dinner at a restaurant recommended to us. It was a perfect, chilly night to spend a little time outdoors, then retreat to a warm, New Orleans-vibe restaurant for a hot bowl of gumbo and jambalaya. Honestly, it was one of the best meals. If you're ever in the area, go to Nora Lee’s. It's got a dark and cozy atmosphere, and the food is to die for. I don't know if you can tell, but I really enjoyed my dinner.

Clay Earrings

For my birthday, one of my besties gave me these adorable clay earrings (pictured above). They're so light, comfortable and match every fall and winter outfit I own. I have almost exclusively worn these all month, and will definitely try to find more. They're made by Sincerely, Clay, and are a perfect gift for the holidays!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you all enjoy a wonderful day, whether it’s spent eating way too much food with family and friends, or if it’s just you and maybe one or two others. Be grateful, enjoy the day, and for goodness’ sake, find a little joy. ✨

"This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 188:24

"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
