My Favorite Cozy Winter Reads

I can’t tell if it’s because Thanksgiving was late this year, or I’m just behind, but I can’t wrap my mind around Christmas being two weeks away. I think I should have at least three weeks until then.
But alas, here we are, barely two weeks from Christmas, and about a week until the start of winter. And it is COLD this morning.
I’m starting to love winter a bit more each year, as it kicks off with Christmas, and then gives us all a season of cozy blankets, warm soups, curling up with a cup of cocoa or hot tea, and time to rest.
One of my favorite ways to unwind is with a good book, and I’ve been missing reading lately, as my free time this semester was eaten up by homework - yuck.
However, I’m back into another excellent novel by Kate Quinn (she’s one of my favorites), and today, I’m sharing with you a handful of my favorite cozy winter books (or ones I’m planning to read this winter). Most are not Christmas-themed, so they can be enjoyed after the holiday. Happy reading!
cozy winter reads
Winter Street by Elin Hilderbrand - on my list for this month!
The Huntress by Kate Quinn - currently reading The Briar Club from her - she’s wonderful!
Beartown by Fredrik Backman - one of the very best trilogies I’ve ever read 10/10
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling - excellent little magical story
Becoming Mrs. Lewis by Patti Callahan Henry - lovely story of C.S. Lewis and his wife
Christmas Stories by Max Lucado - a really nice collection of short stories
Winter in Paradise by Elin Hilderbrand - a fun winter mystery/romance
The Little Book of Hygge by Meik Wiking - there’s no better time for hygge than winter
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson - chilly thriller/mystery
I’m a strong believer in fresh air, prayer and a good cup of coffee. Let’s be friends!
