I’ve read a lot of really great books this quarter. I don’t know if I’ve ever had such a streak of truly excellent stories, but I’m kind of blown away. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, I’ve had my heart shattered a little bit, and I’ve even taken some time to read an old favorite of mine. It’s been the most delightful of times.

I even had 2 new all-time faves. When I finished The Huntress, I was convinced it was the best book of the year. It was just unbelievable. And then I read A Man Called Ove, and then that one blew my mind in a completely different way, and it made the all-time favorites list. It’s just that good. So if I had to guess, those two are the top books from 2023. I really can’t decide.

I won’t make you wait any longer - here’s the list!

I also upgraded my Kindle this summer. On Prime Day, Amazon had a great deal on them, and I realized I’ve had mine for almost 8 years. It was time. My new one is a little bit bigger, waterproof, and reads so much nicer - here’s the link. It came in just in time to take to beach week, and it changed. the. game.
