My Favorite Summer Spots In Delaware
As most of you know, I’m a Delaware native. I was born and raised here, spent a year living in San Francisco and traveling a ton, and came right back.
It’s small, but Delaware is a really great state. My personal favorite thing about Delaware is that it’s only a day trip to D.C., Baltimore, the beaches, Philadelphia and even New York City. If you want to go into the city to see a show or have dinner, you’ve got options.
However, Delaware also has a lot of hidden gems within it’s borders, and today I’m sharing with you some of my favorite places to visit, especially in the summer.
Food & Drink
Agave Mexican Restaurant - Lewes, Delaware
Some of the best guacamole and margaritas in the state!
Dogfish Head Brewery - Milton, Delaware
Such a fun brewery tour with some of my favorite beer. Also check out Chesapeake & Maine in Rehoboth for a bite to eat.
The Grain H20 - Bear, Delaware
A great spot right on the canal with live music and great food!
Nassau Valley Vineyards - Lewes, Delaware
Great wine on a beautiful vineyard near the beach.
Little Italy Pizza Shop - Townsend, Delaware
This family-run pizzeria is less than ten minutes from my house and has the BEST pizza. Our go-to for family movie nights, football season or just when I don’t feel like cooking.
Pop-In Artisan Pops - Middletown, Delaware
Dozens of flavors of popsicles made with all natural ingredients. THEN you top them with dips, sprinkles, you name it, to make a creation all your own. They are SO good and the perfect treat on a hot summer day.

Cape Henlopen Beach - Lewes, Delaware
My favorite beach to visit - it also has a dog-friendly beach that the girls absolutely love!
Go Ape! - Bear, Delaware
A thrilling zip-line adventure for the whole family, located in the lovely Lums Pond State Park.
Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk - Rehoboth Beach, Delaware
It’s just something you have to do in Delaware. With cute shops, great snack stands and Funland, you can’t go wrong.
Constitution Yards - Wilmington, Delaware
A super-fun beer garden, right on the riverfront. What a great way to spend an evening with friends!
Historic New Castle - New Castle, Delaware
A quaint little town with a beautiful park right on the water and some incredible restaurants - Nora Lee’s is my favorite!
Tanger Outlets - Rehoboth Beach, Delaware
I hit these outlets several times a year when I need to do some serious shopping. They have tons of stores and great deals year-round.

A super cute local boutique with beautiful pieces. If you love boutiques, don’t miss this one.
