I can’t believe it’s Easter already. Last week it was February, am I right?

Here we are, and it’s Holy Week. I hope you all get a chance to reflect on this joyous occasion to celebrate our freedom from sin and death. I personally can’t wait to celebrate this weekend!

As surprising as it is for me to say this, March wasn't that bad. There wasn't much going on, but sometimes that's a good thing.

I think the most impactful thing that occurred this month was the one year anniversary of the pandemic and the socially distanced lifestyle that ensued. It's been a whole year of this mess, and we're still pushing through. Kudos to us!

Since I can't really top that achievement, here's my March Highlights!

Reading.

I read a lot this month. I finished up the Throne of Glass series, and if you're looking for something that is zero percent real life, this is your jam. Fantasy isn't really my bread and butter, but it's a fun series. I also read Where The Crawdads Sing and The Great Alone, both of which were excellent. Where The Crawdads Sing was a top rated book for 2020, and it was a lovely, easy read. The Great Alone was a heart-wrenching, captivating story and it makes my list of Top Books Of My Life, if I had such a list. Hmmm…maybe I'll make one.

Turkey Day!

We hosted our second annual Turkey Day, and it was a success! We had a very non-Thanksgiving spread, with cornbread, sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts and macaroni and cheese! We did have a slight snafu with our rotisserie, and I think there may be a rotisserie upgrade in our future. I mean, we can't let this tradition die so young, can we?

Loft Makeover.

This month, I took over Elliot's old office space, and I'm turning it into my own workspace to write and plan and be productive, without being on the couch. I've acquired some new furniture and finally hung my diplomas! It still needs a few finishing touches, but as soon as it's complete, I'll post it on the blog!

New Favorite Starbucks Drink.

Ok so if you haven't tried the Chocolate Almondmilk Shaken Espresso yet, get on it. It's high in caffeine, low in calories, and de-light-ful. Do it. It's what dreams are made of.

Bonus - My New Marshall’s Buddy

I didn't feel like this was big enough to make a whole point on its own, but I found out that Marshall's is dog friendly and I took Mollie shopping last week. She was slightly overwhelmed, but LOVED sticking her head under the clothing racks, smelling all the smells, and picking out her own toy! We had a wonderful time together and I was so proud of my good little shopper!

Have a wonderful Easter weekend!!

"And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast." 1 Peter 5:10

"Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him." Romans 6:8-11
