December Highlights
This had to have been one of the fastest Decembers I’ve ever seen.
I honestly don’t remember half of it, but somehow, Christmas has come and gone and TOMORROW is New Year’s Eve.
Most years, I like to hold on a little extra to the past year, but this year, I can’t wait for 2022. There’s no particular reason, I’m just ready for a new year.
BUT, this post is my December Highlights, so here’s to savoring those last few gems of 2021 before ringing in the new year.
Elliot’s DONE.
I’ve only mentioned it half a dozen times, but, it’s a BIG deal.
Elliot finished his Bachelor’s Degree this month!!!
He has been in school for almost the entire time we’ve been together, so this is huge for us. We actually get to spend free time together and, like, relax. It’s wild and we really dig it.
Christmas Events.
This year, I got to attend several Christmas events that I had been missing. First was the Great Awakening Band’s annual Christmas Party, which was virtual last year and 100% not the same. My parents threw a Christmas open house and I got to see a lot of friends and family I haven’t seen in a while. Lastly, my sister and brother-in-law performed in The Nutcracker this year, and I was so happy I finally got to see it in person!
12 Days Of Christmas
This year I did my very first social media Christmas series. It was very hard, but I’m glad I did it. I also launched my first giveaway! While I don’t personally enjoy social media that much, it was a fun challenge to create a different kind of content every day for 12 days. Now, I’m glad it’s over, but I’m going to try to be more present on the social next year!
New Favorite Song.
Fun fact: Stevie Wonder has a special place in my heart. My freshman year of high school (aka, my first year doing marching band EVER), our show was a compilation of Stevie Wonder hits. So when Pentatonix released this sweet little song in their Christmas album this year, I WEPT.
It’s perfect, and at the end of the year, I just want you all to know, I love you.
