Who doesn't love a good Christmas movie?

You know, the kind that just make you feel all warm and fuzzy while you sip hot cocoa in your fuzzy socks? Am I right??

Anyway, I'm sure you all have a favorite Christmas movie that brings you back to the magic of Christmas. I personally have like, 10. And because I'm who I am, of COURSE I have a list of the "must watch" Christmas movies.

I'll be real honest with you for a second. I'm not as "in the Christmas spirit" as I've been in past years. Yes, I decorated early and all, but it's just not the same, and that's really all there is to it. It's been a weird year, but Christmas is still Christmas, and even in 2020, it's going to be the most wonderful time of the year.

In order to do everything in my power to get my Christmas spirit up, I've been working through all my favorite Christmas movies, and there are some that just put you in a jolly mood. Which is kind of the whole point.

The other night, we were halfway through Noelle, and Elliot said to me,

"You can't watch this movie and not be in the Christmas spirit. You just can’t!"

And he's right.

Sometimes all you need is a sweet Christmas movie to lift your spirits.

And since I am in the business of lifting spirits (kind of), I have built you the perfect guide to a wonderfully jolly movie night. I also made a list of my favorite Christmas movies that you should probably watch at your earliest convenience (ie, ASAP).

The actual list is at the bottom, or you can find it on my Instagram Story.

You’re quite welcome.

Steps to a Very Merry Movie Night

  1. Put on your coziest outfit/jam-jams/sweats, and grab your fuzzy socks.

  2. Make sure ALL your Christmas lights/candles/light-up decorations are on. Ambience is key.

  3. Whip up your favorite hot drink. My go-to is herbal tea, but it’s not Christmas without homemade hot cocoa. I found this recipe from Half Baked Harvest (obviously, and I can’t wait to try it! You may see it on the ‘gram this weekend.)

  4. Make a batch of your favorite popcorn! I make mine with this popper, and yes I rave about it all the time. For my toppings, I drizzle truffle-infused olive oil (because it’s cheaper than real truffle oil) and pink salt. It’s delicious.

  5. Choose a movie from my list below (or your all-time favorite!).

  6. Curl up on the couch and enjoy your very merry movie night!!

Comment below with your favorite movie!

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10-11
