Introducing: My 101 in 1,001 List

I made a new friend last month. I admire the heck out of her blog, so I reached out and said something very smooth like “hey your blog is super great and could I maybe just pick your brain a lil so I can learn to be less lame-sauce?” Because I’m an adult and lame-sauce is appropriate vocabulary for adults.

Kidding. But she did let me ask her some questions about blogging and it was great and I’m still a major fangirl.

Anyway, she was like “I just finished this challenge called 101 Things in 1,001 Days -- OMG YOU SHOULD TOTALLY DO IT”.

And since you all already know that I do hard things, I was like “ YAASSSSS I SHOULD!! Quick question, uh, what is it?”

See? I’m super smooth.

She oh-so-graciously explained that its a challenge where you make a list of 101 things you would like to do in the next 1,001 days (pretty self explanatory). It can include goals, or plans you already have, but it’s good to be mindful of where you are and where you’re going. I’m a big fan of lists, and I’m a big fan of goals, so I made one!

It honestly reminded me a lot of my Happiness list from The Seasonal Shakeup. That list’s purpose was to make sure that I made time for all the things that brought me joy. Speaking of which, I’m about to make a new Happiness list for the Christmas season, because I LOVE CHRISTMAS and the whole Christmas season. I honestly never get tired of peace on earth or good will toward others, and neither. should. you.

This 101 in 1,001 list is things for all aspects of my life. Although, being the Type A person that I am, I did break them up into categories, which are; Professional/Education, Health, Faith, Personal Growth/Lifestyle, Travel, Marriage, Organizing My Life, Home and Just For Fun. They are all things I genuinely want to do, and let me tell you, it is HARD to come up with 101 things I want to do in the next 3 years basically of my life. I mean, I’ll be almost 30 when I finish. Heck!

It’s a list of a lot of things I may already have plans to go and do, but its nice to check something off a list that isn’t a to-do. These are fun things that I’m looking forward to experiencing more than I’m looking forward to checking off. So basically, it’s an all-encompassing, 1,001 day long Happiness + Growth list. And I. Am. Stoked. about it.

Feel free to check out my list at 101 in 1,001. If you feel so inclined, go ahead and make your own. And send it to me!! I want to read all of your lists and see your goals!

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” Proverbs 19:21

“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.'” Matthew 17:20
