March Highlights
March always feels like a long month to me, and this one was no exception. If I think about it, Leap Day feels like FOREVER ago. So much has happened since then, it’s hard to believe it’s only been one month.
And by “so much”, I mean some things around our home and lifestyle that have been on my list for a while and I’m very excited about it.
facebook marketplace.
Friends, I have been hitting the JACKPOT on marketplace lately. I’ve been quite overdue for a new desk. I bought my teeny little desk way back when I started this blog, but didn’t have a job where I worked from home. Well, I’ve been working from home for over two years now, so it’s time. It’s been time. I found a beautiful, large, solid wood desk WITH a La-Z-Boy office chair for $150 and I am the happiest camper the world has ever seen.
In January I scored some matching Ethan Allen bookshelves/hutches for us, which totally bring the office together. I’m telling you, I’m on a roll.
plant propagation update.
I don’t know why I thought I would try to propagate my plants. I mean, I can barely keep them alive, but here I am. Early this month, I pruned my “baby swiss” monstera plant and started 3 new little plants in water, and friends, I think I’m doing it!
I may or may not have stolen a little baby spider plant from a random cubicle in my office to bring home and try to grow, but in my defense, the plant is THRIVING. It had 4-5 baby plants, and the person hasn’t been in the office for weeks. So either I did them a favor, or I can’t be tamed. You decide.
Owl City released his Coco Moon Deluxe album this month, which includes my new favorite song, Car Trouble. It’s an adorable little happy bop, and it helps that Will also loves Owl City. Win-win.
girls chrysalis flight #60
This month, I served on a Chrysalis weekend for the first time in probably ten years. I was VERY nervous because I am an eight-hours-of-sleep girlie, and I don’t function well on less. God is good, and while I barely slept at all the first night, I was able to keep up with the girls until the very late hours. It was a huge blessing and I’m so grateful for the opportunity.
will update
Will’s latest discovery is laundry. He’s always loved watching the laundry spin in the washer, but now, we’re a big fan of putting all the clothes in the basket. When I take them out to fold them, he puts them right back in the basket. When I finally finish putting everything away, he helps himself to the drawers, pulls out the clean, folded laundry and drags it back to the basket. Sometimes we even pull a book off the shelf and toss it in. We’re not picky, as long as it goes in the basket.
It’s cute. Usually.
Today is Holy Thursday. Take a moment to reflect on the events of Easter weekend over the next few days.
Friday is good because Sunday is coming.
“It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.” - John 13:1
BONUS: I got a few comments on my photo from the February Highlights, so I thought I’d share. I signed up for a free phone wallpaper from Jasmine Green, and this is the March one at the top of this post. I receive a monthly email that includes the wallpaper and a devotion. Would highly recommend clicking this link and signing up.
